{"id":21257,"date":"2026-04-27T09:21:44","date_gmt":"2026-04-27T09:21:44","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dress-ea.hrc-sudan.sd\/?p=21257"},"modified":"2026-04-27T09:50:44","modified_gmt":"2026-04-27T09:50:44","slug":"regional-training-of-trainers-on-adaptive-livestock-and-rangeland-management-for-climate-resilience-in-dryland-ecosystems-%f0%9f%8c%8d%f0%9f%8c%b1%f0%9f%90%84","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dress-ea.hrc-sudan.sd\/?p=21257","title":{"rendered":"Regional Training of Trainers on Adaptive Livestock and Rangeland Management"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Regional Training of Trainers on Adaptive Livestock and Rangeland Management for Climate Resilience in Dryland Ecosystems \ud83c\udf0d\ud83c\udf31\ud83d\udc04<br>Sudan \ud83c\uddf8\ud83c\udde9 participated in the Regional Training of Trainers on Adaptive Livestock and Rangeland Management for Climate Resilience in Dryland Ecosystems, Tunisia \ud83c\uddf9\ud83c\uddf3, from April 6 to 11 \ud83d\udcc5, presented by the International Center for Agricultural Research in the Dry Areas (ICARDA) \ud83e\udd1d in partnership with the DRESS-EA project and the Global Water Partnership (GWP) \ud83d\udca7.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The training aims to enhance the technical capacities of trainers and practitioners \ud83d\udc68\u200d\ud83c\udfeb\ud83d\udc69\u200d\ud83c\udf3e in adaptive livestock and rangeland management methods \ud83c\udf3f\ud83d\udc11, thereby promoting climate change adaptation \ud83c\udf26\ufe0f, sustainable productivity \ud83d\udcc8, and ecosystem rehabilitation \ud83c\udf3e in drylands.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The field program \ud83d\ude9c commenced with a comprehensive assessment of rangeland conditions \ud83d\udd0d and a review of restoration techniques \u267b\ufe0f. It also included field visits to several relevant institutions and sites \ud83c\udfe2, such as fodder and rangeland seed propagation centers \ud83c\udf31, forest management facilities and nurseries \ud83c\udf33, and a site managed by a women farmers&#8217; association \ud83d\udc69\u200d\ud83c\udf3e.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The program further encompassed breed improvement activities \ud83e\uddec and the work of specialized departments.
