In collaboration with Strengthening Drought Resilience for Smallholder Farmers and Pastoralists in the IGAD Region (DRESS EA) project 🌍, the General Administration of Pasture and Fodder 🌾 has started implementing the activity of Support Formation and Facilitation of Existing Farmer and Pastoralists Cooperatives Associations at Community Level in Elsalam Locality – White Nile State on 19/11/2025 📅.
The main objective of this activity 🎯 is to support the Formalization and legal registration of farmers and pastoralist cooperative associations at the community level in Elsalam locality, specifically:
- Support the establishment and formation of (11) cooperative associations 🤝 (7) for farmers 🌱 in village clusters, while (4) for pastoralists 🐪 in livestock routes which can play a crucial role in supporting farmers and pastoralists for promoting sustainable practices.
- Provide and support specialized services like credit 💳, supplying agricultural inputs 🌿 and technical assistance 🛠️
- Offer training and capacity building for association members 📘💡
