😎 Yesterday’s Sub-National Climate Outlook Forum (SCOF) in White Nile State, Sudan was a resounding success!

📍 Held in Kosti and organized by the Sudan Meteorological Authority (SMA) with support from the DRESS-EA Project (Strengthening Drought Resilience for Smallholder Farmers and Pastoralists in the IGAD Region), the workshop focused on delivering a localized seasonal climate forecast for JJAS 2025.

Key outcomes included:

  • A White Nile-specific seasonal outlook for JJAS 2025
  • Co-produced advisories tailored for agriculture, livestock, and water sectors
  • Improved understanding and application of climate information at the state level
  • Strengthened feedback loops and collaboration between climate service providers and end users
